I have been thinking of ways to use Athreos before he rotates out (Maybe post Origins it will be even better).
Right now I have two thoughts:
1: Bw Aggro, featuring Athreos as a top end with a Constellation sub-theme for Grim Guardian, Brain Maggot, and Gnarled Scarhide, and Pain Seer for continual threats. Boon of Erebos and Gods Willing for protection when needed.

2: Bw Devotion, featuring Gray Merchants at the top end, with Sorin, Crux of Fate and Whip of Erebos.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

I don't really know what's being played because I don't actually even play anymore (not by choice)... but I've been brewing with Battlefield Thaumaturge in Modern, which I don't think is being tried at all. I don't really have anyone to test against, as I don't have MTGO (I could buy it but I wouldn't have the cards), but it would be nice if it could get some testing and/or feedback. I have two lists right now, a UB list and a Grixis list. The lists have somewhat different focus and it could be that a combination of both is ideal, or something completely different. If you're interested, I can show you one or both lists.
